Hi Boris One rather rough solution would be to simply link the db client application directly with the Informix driver instead of unixODBC. This is possible in most cases since they share the same set of functions according to the ODBC standard. But it may be hard if the application is rebuild to link with unixODBC... I wanted to connect to Informix 9.3 on my Linux (both client and server running on Linux) and use the same ODBC calls as in the Windows environment. Since I had little knowledge about ODBC for Linux at the time, I simply linked my multithreaded C programs directly with the driver by adding the following options in my makefile: MYODBCLIBS = -L$(INFORMIXDIR)/lib/esql -lifgls -lifglx MYODBCFLAGS = -DIFX_THREAD -DIFX_DCE Just a shot in the dark...
