Dear sir, Please inform the minimum system requirement for installing Informix IDS 7.x. We have installed IDS 7.x in a PC having Pentium Processor of speed 166 MHz, 48 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD. The PC is also detecting the 20 GB HDD as 8 GB only. After installations is over, on giving the command "oninit", it is not responding and displaying the error msg of "Shared Memory not initialised". Sankar you can run from command line oninit -v or oninit -i -v ONLY if you INITIALIZING your serverIt will give you more diagnostic about the problem.
