IQ

I recently posted a reply to a question about the IQ product which said that I personally dislike it. I feel I ought to qualify that posting, so here it is! i) I would probably find many of the same dislikes to any similar product with a pre-build data dictionary, in that such a product will have pre-defined limitations. As someone who is (highly, I hope) competant in SQL I can get the information I require much faster using SQL rather than IQ. ii) I have only used version 3 of IQ, therefore cannot comment on version 4 in any way. iii) My experience of IQ is not as an end user, but as someone who has been defining a data dictionary, and therefore this also affect my perceptions. I would also like to add that the UK support team have always been very helpful and I never have the problem of being passed from (say!) Fred to Joe to Harry in the hope of finding someone who knows the answer to my problems. Contrast some of the comments in various other newsgroups about support teams!
