You can store the IP address as a string. This way you could use a regex and convert the octets in to digits and check that they are between 0 and 255. (For IP4). This is probably the simplest way to do it. > Date: Fri, 19 Jun 2009 09:59:39 +0200 > From: holger@dewall-net.de > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: data type for ip addresses > > Hi, > > how can I create a data type that can store ip addresses (ipv4 and ipv6)? > We use IDS 10.00 UC6 and 11.50 UC3. > > Thanks > > Holger de Wall > > _______________________________________________ > Informix-list mailing list > Informix-list@iiug.org > http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list _________________________________________________________________ Microsoft brings you a new way to search the web.
