Please remember that a thread is not a task. The key difference is that a thread (Lightweight task) shares its parents data segment. A task makes a copy. With the thread safe libraries, you can create a program with multiple database connections. (You could do it with IPC messaging and fork() too!)[This is a method which doesn't rely on threads] Now with Win32, I don't believe that it is a multithreaded OS, just a multitasking OS. So you can acheive the same results if Microsoft supports the fork() C function call. -Mikey
