This is just an indication that a row could not be read. You will have to trap the ISAM error (sqlca.sqlerrd[1]) to know WHY the row could not be read, as indicated in the error message text (finderr -243). Usually it is simply that the row was locked briefly by another session. Try adding SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT 10; to the application that is getting this error. Art S.
