Need help w Powerbuilder & IFX Dates

Anyone have experience using Powerbuilder w/ Informix? I'm using PB4.0 w/ Informix SE 5.0 over TCP/IP Date types stored in the db as such dont work! I have to store as DATETIME (YEAR to DAY) & then have all kinds of conversion, retrieval , update, insrt problems! Can anyone who has gone thru this help? Mike
