Shared Memory Permission Denied
Hi,
when i execute onstat with informix user send this message: onstat: =
Shared memory: permission denied.
or when i go into onmonitor and sel. an option send the message:
Unable to attach to shared memory.

Hi,
either the database instance isn't running (shutdown / crash - do you
see the oninit processes?) or your environment variables are not set
(at least INFORMIXDIR and INFORMIXSERVER, and the PATH must find the
correct onstat version - if you have installed different Informix
versions on the machine).

sounds like someone other than root:informix started the instance. On HP hte results of ipcs -mob|more m 7262 0x52574801 --rw-rw---- root informix 9 143958016 m 14431 0x52574802 --rw-rw---- root informix 9 41353216
