Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Please let me know what options I can have to access Informix SE 7.x
databases from .NET applications. I'm using both .NET 1.1 & 2.0 with
ODBC driver provided by IBM.
Any helpful link pointing to this subject is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
PN
I cannot say that I've tried to access an Informix 7.x engine via .NET but I see no reason why it would not work.
Have you tried? If so did you have a specific problem?
ODBC is an option, so is the Informix .NET driver as well as OLEDB. To my knowledge, the Informix .NET driver is simply a dynamic wrapper around the ODBC layer. I'd use the .NET driver or OLEDB. Both of which will be supplied in the CSDK, available from the ibm web site.
