I am passing this on for a friend who isn't on the 'net :-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have a system written under Informix V4.1 RDS on SCO UNIX which works
fine. We have a client site which is running V3.61 software and so we
need to run our system under V3.61. Most things seem to work except for
the following :-
#
# This WORKS
#
database raudit
main
database raudit
insert into audittab2 values (1,"a","b","c","d")
call xxxdb()
database raudit
insert into audittab2 values (1,"a","b","c","d")
call xxxdb()
end main
################################################################################
# Functions #
################################################################################
function xxxdb()
define w_af char(1)
#database raudit
#insert into audittab2 values (1,"a","b","c","d")
initialize w_af to null
end function
################################################################################
#
# This FAILS on 2nd call
#
database raudit
main
call xxxdb()
call xxxdb()
end main
################################################################################
# Functions #
################################################################################
function xxxdb()
define w_af char(1)
database raudit
insert into audittab2 values (1,"a","b","c","d")initialize w_af to null
end function
################################################################################
The error it produces is :-
Program stopped at "new2.4gl" line no 23
SQL statement error number -407
ISAM error number 0Error number zero received from the SQLEXEC process.
The routine is called from a menu option so can theoretically be called
more than once, the 2nd and subsequent times being the problem.
Has anyone experienced similar problems or can anyone please help!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many thanks
Mark.
