I was refering to when the user presses escape on one screen. A lot of fields hold restricted values which I tried to just check in the .per file. Both screens are packed, so there are lot of fields. It would be much redundant to do all those checking again in after input(implying updates be done on at least two places). What I do now, if I detect an ESC in one screen, is display the other screen and ask the user to press escape. Fields are checked on the screen by sperform and in my program I do lookups and go my merry way. What I was trying was display the second screen (if I detect esc), and stuff the keyboard/buffer with ESC so that I don't have to ask the user to do it Again.
