I have Emailed you one of our technical reports that explains a lot about how the RAID 7 performance multiplier for SCSI systems works. We have more reports that we can US mail out to interested technical people, describing how some more of the RAID 7 technology works. We don't disclose everything, however. >BTW, is Storage Computer a member of the RAID Advisory Board. Storage Computer Corp. keeps getting approached to become a member since we are now a major player in the enterprise-wide storage industry, and RAID 7 is becoming a recognized standard for very high peformance computing requirements. The relevant standard regarding RAID is SCSI and what one needs to concern himself with is ensuring that SCSI implementations are properly designed for very high performance. Actually, R&D here is much more interested in following what is going on regarding Fiber Channel standards groups (FCAL), rather than what happens with fixes to older RAID architectures designed long ago.
