RE: Problem initializing engine with raw device for "phydbs"...

As far as I know, you must create the physical database space in rootdbs during initialization, create your physical log dbspace after initialization, then move (and resize) your physical log to the dbspace you just recreated. I would love to hear of a way to do it on initialization of the database, take one step off of my new box set up :) Will >===== Original Message From "Denmark Weatherburn" <dweatherb@btl.net> ===== >Hi Listers, > >IDS won't recognize the raw device that I created for the PHYSDBS. >It will only initialize if I specify that the PHYSDBS be placed in the >rootdbs. > >I'll attach the appropriate configuration files. >The platform is Solaris 2.5.1. >The IDS version is 7.30.UC3 > >Thanks in advance, > >Denmark W. ------------------------------------------------------------ This e-mail has been sent to you courtesy of OperaMail, as a free service from Opera Software, makers of the award-winning Web Browser, Opera.
