Hi World, I'm trying to find out if Informix have any plans to produce P-Code based application partitioning with NewEra. The current AP technique requires C-code compilation on the server to generate a "real" executable - this is fine when developing in-house but the implication for our software house is that we'll have to restrict our supported platforms to one or two (because we can't afford one of every platform Informix support!) A P-code partitioning scheme would give us back the hardware independance that we currently have with 4GL-RDS. How will the dynamic drag 'n drop APing that Informix are advertising will be in a release or two be implemented? Any rumours out there?
