Doubt about table defragmentation

Hello, my friends. I am running 11.70.FC2 on a linux_64 machine. I had to add some chunks, in order to enable my defragment scripts (I am running out of dbspaces). But I noticed one thing: after defragmenting some tables, my recently created chunks were not freed. Is that because: 1) pages were moved from its original location, to the new chunks, because of defrag operations? 2) it was not done an archive zero (yet)? 3) I´ve already tryed to do an "repack + shrink", but nothing changed... I tryed to understand and figure out how the defrag operation runs, internally, ok? Thanks a lot. Best regards.
you can always run an "oncheck -pe" to see what is on each individual =
chunk.
