You do not need sequence generators. Informix has a SERIAL data type which automatically maintains a unique, strictly increasing key. > - Data Migration. Just export to ASCII delimited files. Only dates and times can cause problems. Informix has equivalent datatypes to all of the Oracle types. Dates and times are handles enough differently to cause some grief, though. But a PSQL program can easily be written to export dates and times into (POSIX) standard formats that Informix understands. Best of luck and welcome to the community. Art S. Kagel
