Informix JDBC driver causes core dumps

I have a Java application that uses the JDBC:ODBC bridge to access a SQL database. When I have this running on a database other than Informix (MSAccess, Oracle) it works fine. When I have it running on Informix (HP-UX 10.20) I get periodic core dumps. About once a week on a fairly busy system. I updated the driver in January which significantly reduced the number of core dumps (I was getting several a day before that). Has anyone else experienced this? Have a solution? Elaine P.S. I'm using their class 4 native driver and my application is running in the HP-UX JVM 1.1.6 (not the one bundled with Informix).
