Hi, I am connecting to SQL Server 6.5 via New Era2.12 and 16 bit ODBC driver. I am trying to set a timeout period for a request. However, when I query if cancelling an SQL operation is permitted (connection.isCancelAllowed()) it is returning false (as do any attempts to set the cancelTimeout period. This is a serious problem for me. The manual seems to indicate that cancelTimeout is not available with ODBC connections. I need to get some response back from my app rather than it just waiting there for another transaction to commit or rollback, especially as SQL Server implements page level locking. Default lock mode in SQL server seems to be WAIT. Can seem to set it like in Informix when LOCK MODE is NO WAIT by default (I think) Anyone got any ideas?? Thanks John
