Quite +irritating. As I mentioned in the previous post, this is only true if you have run into a "long transaction". If you simply negelected to back the logs up, you can recover it yourself. You just have to proceed as I described in the earlier post, starting the log backup as soon as online gets into on-line mode, before the next checkpoint can occur.
