Network Driver Problem

I have an informix database running on an HP9000. The file at $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts has two lines: sedb seipcpip inca8 sqlexec #sedb sesoctcp inca8 sqlexec When connecting to the sedb using NewEra I have to use the sesoctcp and run sqlexecd daemon on the UNIX host. However, when this is running, my application that was written using esql will not connect. If I swap the protocols, the unix application program runs but the NewEra cannot run since the sqlexecd will not run on the unix host. Starting the daemon results in the following error: 25592: Communications service not supported by network driver. How can I have both of these programs running at the same time? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
