Sorry, some additional notes to my problem ..... I'm using Informix IDS 7.31.UC4-1 on AIX4.2.1. That said, my system seems to look in /usr/lib even if LD_LIBRARY_PATH is not set, so where is libc on your system. What is your platform? What version of informix are you using? With this info, someone might be able to guide you through a series of commands to determine what is happening.
