Online Backup Strategy
Hi All, Thanks everyone for your valuable advices for my previous problem. I have one more thing to ask, we are performing Backup on tape on = daily basis for our Data Redundant Site. But I want it to be performed = dynamically. Is there any possibility that I assigned Mirroring of my = online system on my DRSite? Our Data Redundant Site is at a distance of = around 7 KM from our online servers. And I am focusing on my database = backup only. I will be very thankful if someone can help me. Hello, I think more information is needed: - size of database - volume of changes (logical logs: size and number of logs used per day and peak times) - connection between the two sites (speed, reliability) - usage of the data on your second site: only for disaster recovery or for reporting, too? Hi Dear, Answers of your questions are below: - size of database: Database contains 193 tables, most of them are empty, only 7 to 10 = tables are of large size(One to three million records). - volume of changes (logical logs: size and number of logs used per day = and peak times) We are not maintaining Logical and Physical logs. Peak time is in = morning and evening. - connection between the two sites (speed, reliability) earlier we had 10MB radio link, but now we planning for the substitute. - usage of the data on your second site: only for disaster recovery or = for reporting, too? It is only and only for disaster recovery.
