Hello,
We just wanted to upgrade a local Paradox 7.0 DB to an
Informix 7.22 (online) DB Version.
But during this conversion the system lost the primary keys.
Now, the ISQL-Software recognizes the indexes and the primary keys,
but the SQL-Explorer and the Borland DBEngine tell us there would be
no primary keys or any regular index.
I've tried different SQL-Statements (ALTER TABLE, ALTER INDEX,...)
to set up new primary keys or unique indexes, but the SQL-Explorer and
the DBEngine both ingnore them, while the indexes are known to
the sysindexes table of informix, the SQL-Explorer tells me every time
I try to refresh, the table wouldn't have the correct index.
Sincerely
Torsten Kleine B'ning
The SQL syntax is:
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX idx_PersId ON Personal (PersId);
idx_PersId - Name of the Index (have to be unique in system)
Personal - name of the table
PerId - Fieldname, that has to be unique
Hope this will help you
Heiko
