Detecting LONGTX SQL??
Posted in 1997
Is it possible at all to detect a NewEra application that does LongTX?
Because all I have information is the online message log which has
the tx-id and userid. I've asked Informix about it and they prompt me
to look at onlog.
I could even have onlog to run _at_ the time long transaction occur
(small tweak with the ALARMPROG).
But even I can use onlog, it doesn't really drill-down to SQL or even
program module, does it? This make it hard to trace. Of course, I can
always increase LOGICAL LOGs but there's kinda passive way...
Thanks.
