I'm getting the above error when running onbar from a script. Does anyone
have any ideas?

What does onstat -g arc say?
JWC
it looks like you get a core dump....
> /usr/informix/bin/onbar[84]: 22716 Memory fault
try:
onbar_d -b -w -L 0
and see if you get a coredump too.
maybe it's kernel params related...???!!! dono;
ask TS.

John,
onstat -g arc basically says the same things as my bar_act.log files says. The backup runs and completes successfully. The memory fault happens after
the onbar completes. I don't recall seeing this if onbar is called from
the command line. This is rather annoying since my return codes gets set
incorrectly in the script therefore I get an incorrect notification that
the backup failed. The primary purpose of the script is to have the TSM
scheduler call the script.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Below is the begining and end of onstat -g arc (214 dbspaces):

Hi,
the first place to look for more info would be the
ON-Bar Activity Log file (BAR_ACT_LOG parameter in
the ONCONFIG file).
If there actually is a core dump, this can be analysed.
Though that info is a bit arcane, i.e. suitable for Tech Support.
Also, if the problem reproduces, it is possible to let ON-Bar
write debug traces (setting BAR_DEBUG parameter in onconfig
> 0, higher means more traces). This may then give a clue
as to where what has happened.
Regards,
Martin
