Re: Multi-language data in a database

Sory, I have no universal server at my hand, so I'll talk just about IDS. My registry file contains the utf8 and unicode codes, but there are no locales or conversion codeset files for them. I've try looking in the "Guide to GLS functionality" that comes with IDS 7.3 and found no reference to this. Of course IDS supports multibyte characters, but I don't know how to set CLIENT_LOCALE, DB_LOCALE so I can work with a UTF-8 (or UNICODE) encoding (all I get is "Unable to load locale categories"). Do you know how to handle this issue in IDS ?
