cli demo

Has anyone tried to use the Informix demo programs that come with the CLI installation? I have ODS 7.23 installed on a Solaris 2.5.1 machine and have been trying to compile and run the demo programs in $informixdir/cli/demo - but I keep getting segmentation faults. I've set up the .odbc.ini file and added some environment variables - but no luck so far!
