Hi Navaid.
How about the following.
1. Change priority btscanner.
onmode -C high2. Add btscanner
onmode -C start
If you re-bounce IDS, btscanner will set default.
Regards.

below. I am worried about XXX, I have 4 GB physical memory on IBM-P5
machine. I have set BUFFERS to 8000, # of LRUs to 8, # of CLEANERS to 1,
lru_min_dirty to 50% & lru_max_dirty to 60%. But still I can see
bufwaits=1506913. Can anyone guide me.

Can anyone guide me. > Is this supposed to be an exercise for Informix admin 101 ? This isn't fine tuning. This is basic stuff. You have 4GB of physical memory, and yet you allocate only 8000 4K buffers (32MB memory). In addition, you set dirty levels to 60%/50%. No wonder you get a lot of bufwaits. Bufwaits mean that threads are waiting for clean buffers, and you didn't allocate a lot, nor do you clean them often. Increase the number of buffers and/or lower the dirty levels (and don't forget to match shared memory segment size accordingly). Zachi
