Using DBTIME environment variable
Posted in 1998
we get a datafile which I need to load into the database, it contains a
time stamp which looks like this:
|07:30:00PM|
Currently, we parse this and transmorify it in perl to get it to load.
I'd like to set the DBTIME environment to load this time stamp format.
I've tried everything, and am having nod ice.
Here are my current settings:
Setting the DBTIME env this way:DBTIME=%I:%M:%S%p
and given a schema:
create table stamps
(
thing datetime hour to second
)
and this data:
09:22:54AM|
12:20:00PM|
write these to a file things.load
and use this dbload file:
--------------------------------------
file things.load DELIMITER '|' 1;
insert into stamps;
--------------------------------------
If this stuff works for you then I stumped, 'cause it don't work for me.
Can someone tell me what I'm missing?
