HELP: Uninstalling IDS on an NT machine

I'm currently running IDS-Workgroup version 7.30.TC3 on a Windows NT server and I'm about to upgrade to version 7.30.TC5. I plan to do a complete re-install... install both the server & client tools. For most software packages, I would normally just run the uninstall program and then begin the new installation process, **BUT** I recently completed an IDS NT admin course and the teacher said the Informix uninstall process (on NT) is a little bit touchy. The instructor said you should complete the following steps when uninstalling Informix From Windows NT. 1. Run Unistall Server 2. Remove the following key names from the from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Services\\ hive: - agentLoader30-ol_dbname - nsrd - nsrexecd - MsgServ - ol_* - portmap 3. Remove all entries in c:\\temp & c:\\tmp 4. Remove the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Informix registry entry. 5. Remove the C:\\Informix directory 6. Remove C:\\ISM directory Any opinions and/or suggestions with this? Also, since I'm going to do a complete re-install (ie. install the server & client tools) should I also run "unistall" (not to be confused with "unistall server") from the options provided in the Informix start up menu ... I assume this is used to remove the client tools. Are there any other folders, keys, etc. I should be concerened about. Thanks in advance, Eddie Roberts
