We're getting close.. less than a week until the next Michigan Informix User Group (MIUG) meeting! The meeting will be on Tuesday, January 21. Please come prepared to have fun and see a live demonstration using the Internet! Our special guests will be IQ Software and Hewlett-Packard. Please think about the following questions for the "offline survey" portion of the meeting: What topics would you like to see covered at the 1997 Informix Worldwide User Conference? (note - the International Informix User Group will be sponsoring a track of technical, non-salesy 1 1/2 hour presentations) Are there any vendors or presentations you'd really like to see at a future MIUG meeting? **** From the website: **** The next meeting will be Tuesday, January 21 at 6:15 PM. The featured vendor presentation will be from IQ Software. They will be explaining their solutions for presenting data on your intranet or the Internet. Hewlett-Packard will give an overview of their products and how they fit with Informix's strategy. We will have a live Internet connection to help facilitate the demonstrations! Please review our agenda (below) for more information. The focus of the presentation by IQ will be their IQ/LiveWeb product. IQ/LiveWeb allows you to connect to your database and use advanced report generation tools to immediately publish the reports on your intranet or the Internet. The reports can then be viewed via any Internet browser. Join IQ as they discuss computing on the Internet and intranet, and perform a hands-on demo of the product using the Internet. They will also be giving away copies of IQ/LiveWeb! The user group will be presenting an update on the 1997 Informix Worldwide User Conference, job postings, and the latest news on Informix products. We will be giving away free subscription forms to Informix Systems Journal, software, technical references, and more. Pizza and soft drinks will be supplied. The meeting will be held at the Hewlett-Packard office near 8 Mile and I-275. Take I-275 to 8 Mile and go west (left coming from northbound 275, right coming from southbound 275). Go just past Haggerty Road and turn right on Orchard Hill Place Drive (right after NBD). The HP office is on 39550 Orchard Hill Place Drive on the left hand side.
