Isolation level on Informix 9.3

Hi, I have this problem: I have a Business Intelligence application (Board MIT) who reads data from an Informix Server 9.3 on AIX OS. Board connect to DB server using ODBC driver, but when read some transacted record, operation fails. I know exists the ISOLATION LEVEL DIRTY READ to bypass this problem, but I can't send the command from my application. So I try use Open Link ODBC Access, a third part driver for Informix: it permit to send a command to server on connection, but the command I send (SET ISOLATION TO DIRTY READ) has effect only on first read, but the following read come to default isolation level. Someone know how can I solve my problem? Thanks.

Typical problem in ODBC applications written in C++ by programmers who don't know database operations well enough. Board (or is it Open Link Access that's having the problem?) is creating and destroying objects that connect to the DB server when they are created, and disconnect when they are destroyed. That means that Board has a separate brand spanking new connection with the default isolation level for each new object. Art S. Kagel
