Compiling 4GL on SUSE 6.4

Hi linuxers, I have a problem with the compilation of several modules in combination with selfmade libraries. At each module that has a function-call to that library, he says undefined symbol. However on my AIX system this works allready for years. Is there any specifical option or swith to give with the compilation on linux SUSE 6.5? Many thanks Danny
