Informix IDS 9.40 trial

Hi again, I am looking for a trial version of IDS 9.40 for Linux as I want to learn Informix. I know that IBM has IDS 10 as a trial outthere but since I have to work now with Informix 9.40 and we have no disk I would need to learn that. The former DBA admin left and got with him all of the CD's and documentation or maybe he lost them. Very bad situation. I have worked as DB programmer for the company I am currently working but I have just been assigned as DB Admin as well. I have done some DB administration but only with SQL server 2000. So I think the best solution for me is to sit and learn Informix and experiment with a trial version. Any suggestion is welcomed. Thank you very much. Genti

gentian, you can run more than one "instance" of informix on your machine so potentially you don't need to re-install just have a test system and a production system using the same set of binaries of course you have to be really careful that you connect to the correct instannce or you could end up accidentally adding or deleting data from the production server I would really strongly recommend that you get on some IDS Admin classes ASAP!
