ontape -r will restore an entire database SERVER (not database). You can'tpreserve your existing server (not without doing something clever with
links, anyway) unless you restore to a different UNIX server. This is
because it is a requirement of ontape that the original dsk configuration in
force at the time of the archive is present for the restore.
