Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

That should be DS_HASHSIZE and DS_POOLSIZE (there was a typo in my
article in TechNotes).
DS_HASHSIZE is the number of hash list and must be a prime number.
It defaults to 31 in IDS 7.21->7.31.
DS_POOLSIZE is the number of entries in each hash list. It defaults to
50 in IDS 7.21->7.24 and 127 in IDS 7.31.
You can see the current values of these parameters and the current
Distribution Cache with onstat -g dsc which is undocumented but is
there at least as far back as 7.21.
You want to set these so the cache header lists are large enough so
that the distributions for your most active tables are never swapped
out to make room for a less active table or the list will thrash. In
extreme cases you can configure it large enough to hold distributions
for all active tables.
