Optimem Error
Posted in 1994
One of my friend recently ran into the following error while using 4GL/Win. The message he got was: Invalid memory pool passed to Optimem Library After pressing the OK button a few times, Windows hung, and the application have to be exit(ed) abnormally. He has also encountered the message previously: Invalid memory pointer passed to Optimem Library I have recommended that he checked the version of the memory manager that he used. Beside that, is there any explanation for the above messages?? How should a progrmmer, eg a 4GL for Windows programmer deal with the above message?? In particular, what can be done to avoid this message, or better still, to remedy such message?? Thanx for any help coming this way. Please mail direct. Any advice, consolation, ..., is very much appreciated. :-( Calvin Ng The most enjoyable part of a hard climb is when I finally come back down to the ground!!!
