Re: Stored Procedures - Who is in Charge?

What do you mean about reading and contributing to the newsgroup? I read it every day and I'm the one who recently enlightened everyone on the quirks of HPs with version 7.1X informix as well as many other issues. I'm rather offended. Just because I warn people that they CAN'T send to me with the reply option doesn't mean I EXPECT them to do it, but it's up to them if they don't want their opinions made public. They may have other members of their company that also read the news group that would disagree with them or not approve of them giving out company related information. Be calm, okay. (By the way, notice I made this public, despite the fact that it will mostly just clutter everyone's mailbox with a somewhat personal discussion between the two of us). The main issue is with the dbinfo function that isn't available in version 5.x. You will easily need this function, and it will limit your ability to write some types of stored procedure on the 5.x version. :P.S. However if you don't have the time to read the newsgroup, why should I bother. I expect people to not only ask, but eventually also contribute. If nothing else you might want to report on your progress with stored procedures.
