Hello,
I have a table that contains byte descripters pointing to optical media.
I need to migrate the table to another machine. I unloaded the data from
the table to a file using a select statement like this:
unload to table.unl select id,descr(image) from image_table
Now i have the file with all the descriptors, how do i load the file? I
tried using the load statement, but it wrote the descripters to optical(not
good). I can't remember the way to do this. Or is there an easier way. I
am usingh infomix 5.x
TIA,
Bill
Hi Bill,
An easy way to do this is to use remote selects en local insert. For
example:
Start dbacces on new server (newsrv):
DATABASE newdb;SELECT FROM oldbd@oldsrv:oldtable
INSERT INTO newtable
This should do the job.
