hi, I'm new to informix... I tried to install informix dynamic server(iif. 11.50.UC2E.Linux-RHEL4.tar) in my linux machine. I'm getting an error like this... One or more prerequisite system libraries are not installed on your computer. Install libpam.so.0, libncurses.so.5 and then restart the IBM Informix installation program. The installation cannot succeed until the minimum requirements are met. For more information about the prerequisites, see your Installation Guide or check with your System Administrator. even if i install the libraries the same error is coming... do anyone know what is the solution for this?
Are you sure you installed the correct versions? Can you check to see if the files exist with the specified name in a path pointed to your ld.so.conf file? If they are there it should work... Do a Google search of this newsgroup, or generally, and I think you'll find this has been addressed before.

If you are running 64 bit OS then the 32 bit libraries you need might not be installed. Cheers Paul
