Any session can be the one to "add" the segment, so you will probably
not be able to identify the exact session that caused a new session
(unless you watch very closely ...).

Use the SMI.
You can view sessions that are allocated virtual memory :-
database sysmaster;
select * from syspools
where po_class = 2
order by po_usedamt desc;
po_id po_address po_name po_class po_freeamt po_usedamt
432 279130144 82 2 12256 159776
502 280924192 82_SORT_0 2 5848 18728
36 278368288 7 2 3328 8960
33 278200352 4 2 3328 8960
37 278499360 8 2 4568 7720
35 278319136 6 2 4568 7720
32 278134816 3 2 4568 7720
30 278077472 2 2 4568 7720
433 278315040 83 2 4568 7720
You can also get information on the segments themselves :-
select * from syssegments
where seg_class = 2;
seg_address 271196160
seg_class 2
seg_size 8192000
seg_osshmid 1
seg_osshmkey 1381386242
seg_shmaddr 271196160
seg_ovhd 856
seg_blkused 2000
seg_blkfree 0
seg_address 280051712
seg_class 2
seg_size 8388608
seg_osshmid 3
seg_osshmkey 1381386244
seg_shmaddr 280051712
seg_ovhd 856
seg_blkused 373
seg_blkfree 1675
I don't know how to find which sessions have pools in a particular
virtual segment, except by comparing the address range of the segment to
the address of the pool (could be done in SQL but it seems there is a
bug in the SMI - just checking now).
