Informix NET

I am using Informix NET Version 4.00.UE1. Pretty ancient, eh? Anyways... I have been able to successfully use this in the past, but now no matter what system I try to connect to from the machine with this product on it (using DBPATH="//remote/path/dbname" or isql //remote/path/dbname) it gives me an error -908. It is possible that someone may have modified something to cause this, but unlikely. The machine(s) I am trying to connect to can be telnetted to and I can run isql and such on these machines.... but I can't get NET to connect to these servers.
