CADRMS I think TRIM will work instead of CLIPPED. Where you use string_var CLIPPED, replace with TRIM(string_var). There are a bunch of spaces between the final string. "CLIPPED" will not work in a stored procedure. nore will "length" in the context w_length=LENGTH(string) and string[1,w_length].
