Michigan Informix User Group (MIUG) NOTICE OF MEETING Tuesday, January 16, 1995, 6:00 PM Kmart International Headquarters, Troy, Michigan The next Michigan Informix User Group meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 1996 at Kmart International Headquarters. The topic of the meeting will be Client/Server tools. A spokesperson from PureSoftware will present: "Load Testing - An Essential Element of Client/Server Application Development" As companies build more complex client/server applications, developers face the problem of finding ways to assure reliability and confirm scalability. This presentation focuses on how load testing fits into the development process and explains the steps involved in creating a load test. Also discussed (and illustrated with examples) are the benefits and problems of load testing. PureSoftware recently acquired Performix, Inc. and is now marketing Performix's automated testing tool, EMPOWER, under the name of PurePerformix. The next meeting will be on Tuesday March 19, 1996. The topic and location of this meeting has not yet been determined. Membership dues for 1996 will be accepted at the November meeting. The fees are as follows: o Individual Member - $25.00 annually o Corporate Membership - $100.00 annually. There will be TWO liaisons for each organization. It is the liaisons responsibility to distribute the notification of the MIUG Meeting Agendas.
