Jian, Almost any of the UNIX databases will give you the necessary results. I would be completely against MS Access (I don't think it will perform well when you grow) and I'm not a big SQL Server fan. Obviously the people in comp.databases.informix will advise Informix, and those in comp.databases.oracle will advise Oracle. I don't know what hardware/OS you're looking at, but Informix does run on NT and most UNIXes. Informix will certainly cope with the growth and it integrates well with a networked environment. The tools are pretty good (Informix-4GL) and a lot of client software will talk if you want to run client/server. A more detailed description of your environment and application will help. Good luck.
