But's its probably not a bad idea to add the second processor since ODS was designed to capitalize on multiple processors. We're running 7.23 on Sun 6000 with 16 CPUs. When we went from 10 to 16 we saw a definite increase in performance. But the engine gots to be tuned for it. But then again, if everything is just fine, might be an idea to leave it alone. 2) I wonder what version of 7.23 your're running. We're running UC3 and Informix has admitted to several bad-news bugs that crash the system.
