Well, the conventional way of obtaining modules on platforms other than Windows is to download the source and build the module. Thanks for the info Jonathan I am familiar with this method having previously come from a Solaris background but I had a lot of problems building the source for the DBI module downloaded from CPAN on Windows, despite the fact that I have Visual Studio .NET and all of the Informix SDK installed. When I queried this on the comp.lang.perl.misc group it was recommended that I used ppm instead. I will go back to using the CPAN method and try to figure out why it won't build and fix it (hopefully)
