System Admin Performance Tuning Exam.

I am trying to pass the Informix Dynamic Server Performance Exam, and I have failed it 3 times! One needs to have 84% to pass and I have received 78%, 80% & 80%. I seem to miss a couple of questions in each of the following area: Disk Layout & Configuration Tuning Informix Dynamic Server I/O Data Performance Strategies Tuning Client/Server & Distributed Communication Does anyone have any tips, hints or anything for me as I prepare to take the exam one more time. Since I just failed it again this morning, I'm not sure if I should try to take it again soon, or if I should take a month or so and study, study, study!

Follow my handy hints for performance tuning and you won't go far wrong: >Disk Layout & Configuration Don't bother. You'll have EMC or similar, and it's it's all so highly cached that it's run like greased lightning no matter what you do. >Tuning Informix Dynamic Server I/O No single parameter, or combination thereof, makes one fiftieth as much difference as a tweaking of BUFFERS.
