T> From: tkyte@us.oracle.com (Thomas J Kyte) [blah blah blah snipped] T> Thomas Kyte > tkyte@us.oracle.com > Oracle Government The only question I have is why are you here, in the informix news group? It gets old listening to this dry diatribe about "who's better, who's best?". Why don't you gloat in the oracle news group? You have your favorite DBMS, and you probably won't change your opinion unless/until you are fired by Oracle. People here have theirs, and probably won't change either. The needless bickering is a waste of time. Even if it was proven to me that Oracle was better and cheaper (both of which I question), I'm not going to jump ship because I already have a long-time vested knowledge in Informix. And I'm being paid for that knowledge. If you want to be a contribution, fine. But if you are just here to start or create arguments, then we'd both be better off without you here. You don't see me in the Oracle news group. --- ~ SPEED 1.40 [NR] ~
