stored procedure/begin work

Hello, is it possible to start a second transaction within a stored procedure and closing this transaction without closing a running first transaction? We want to start a routine for creating a key in the stored procedure. Knows someone another way to do this without closing a running transaction? Ralf Kohlberg (100667.1437@compuserve.com)
